my experience
I haven't had a boss in 3 years, and I replaced my 9-5.
I worked my whole adult life for someone else. I was laid off at 57, after more than 40 years, and for all of them my boss decided my hours, my location, my income, and when I could take time off.
My first try at building something on my own didn't work. I bought inventory, held sample sales at my house, and donated what was left. Then I found The Boss Suite, and for the first time I had a step-by-step place to start and people to ask when I got stuck. Three years later I'm still building, and I'm still learning.

I replaced my 9-5. After more than 40 years of working for someone else, my days used to belong to a schedule I didn't have much control over.
Now I work from my phone, from wherever I happen to be, and I set my own hours. I can plan a trip without asking anyone's permission. I can plan my days around the people I love instead of around a boss's calendar.
What I wanted most was never a number. It was getting to decide what my day looks like.
I'm not going to tell you it was effortless. My first attempt didn't work. I kept learning, I put in real work, and I still do. But the work is mine, and so is my time.
